Ibrahim Gbadamaasi

Ibrahim Gbadamaasi, also known as Skizzy Mogul or Mogueto is a 400l student of the department of Classics with a fast rising career in music. Ibrahim hails from Oyo State and is currently based in Lagos but schooling in Ibadan.
Ibrahim’s first contact with music was in primary school 2 where he wrote his first lyrics, although limited in giving expression to the melodies that played in his head. He also took a shine to the recorder which he played excellently.
Growing up, Ibrahim Gbadamaasi had always been a huge fan of Michael Jackson whom he referred to as his Idol. Ibrahim attented Sacred Hearts College in Ibadan, an all boys Secondary school where he met other young boys with the same passion for music. Together they formed a boy band called The Fantastic ever Boys. According to Ibrahim, they would sing, drum and write music in class. Their talent and passion was conspicuous to the whole school that it spurred the emergence of a musical competition in Sacred Hearts College, called the Sacred Idol from the word Nigerian Idol. The Fantastic ever Boys came second place upon entering the competition for the first time. The second time, they bagged first place. This young boy band inspired other kids in Sacred Hearts College to do music. Ibrahim said that ” We would sneak in phones to listen to music at the school corridor “.


After leaving Sacred Hearts College in Junior Secondary school three, Ibrahim Gbadamaasi transferred to Oritamefa Baptist Model School (OBMS). At OBMS, Ibrahim became somewhat reserved. Although reserved, his flame for music was unquenchable as his fellow students began to recognize his passion for music. They immediately took a liking to his love for music. However, they were not as engaging as the students in Sacred Hearts College.
Ibrahim fully started rap music in Senior Secondary school and in 2014  in between the first and second year of Senior Secondary school, Ibrahim dropped his first song titled Party which received a welcoming love from people. Not too long after, Ibrahim dropped another song titled Jammit. From there, Ibrahim became more acquainted with music producers that better shaped his music experience.
Upon entering the University of Ibadan, Ibrahim dropped another jam in 2019 titled No Lies which he performed at the Faculty of Arts Large Lecturer Theatre (LLT) during Faculty of Arts Freshers Welcome Variety Night, 2018/19 session. No Lies received amazing responses from people who listened to the song more than Ibrahim expected. Ibrahim also performed No Lies at Classics dinner 2018/19 session in March 2020.
Through a gig his sister got for him, Ibrahim performed on the same stage as the iconic Davido at a show organized by Styled by Zenith in Lagos. There, he also met other celebrities like Tems and Joeboy.

In 2020,  Ibrahim recorded a lot of songs with his producer and being funded by his producer, Ibrahim dropped another song titled Archi. By 2021, Ibrahim had gotten his own studio equipments which he used to create his own music.
During the 8 months strike in 2022, Ibrahim moved to Lagos where he auditioned and came third in a record label competition. He also discovered another passion in fashion styling which he developed. He expanded his horizon in the music industry by meeting with icons in the music industry like prominent music influencer, Bankulli. In 2023, Ibrahim performed at CK’s tour in the University of Ibadan.
In a correspondence with Classics Press, Ibrahim stated that ” I believe I have a place in the crates of music because I believe in my talent and style of music “
Ibrahim unveils that he is currently undergoing  a rebranding from Skizzy Mogul to Mogueto. He says ” The phase I am now is rebranding and recording more music till I’m done with final year. But we never can tell.”
Ibrahim leaves us by saying ” Music is my life, my No.1 passion. I find joy in it and it is something I want to do forever.”
